‘Runners Hit the Road for Two in North Texas

DENTON, Texas – UTSA Women’s Tennis gets back on the road this weekend, visiting a pair of in-state foes north up I-35. The Roadrunners will visit North Texas on Friday at 11 a.m. before heading to UT Arlington 24 hours later. Ki Kroll’s bunch looks to pick up its first road win of the season as the American Conference Championship lurks three weeks away.

Friday, March 27 (11 a.m.) – UTSA (8-7) at North Texas (12-5)

Saturday, March 28 (11 a.m.) – UTSA (8-7) at UT Arlington (4-11)

LAST TIME OUT

On Sunday, the Roadrunners wrapped up a six-match homestand against Tulsa. The Golden Hurricane became the second team to leave UTSA Tennis Center with a win, doing so by a score of 4-0. The loss dropped UTSA to 8-7 on the season with five matches remaining in the regular season.

ABOUT THE MEAN GREEN

Tulsa is under the direction of Head Coach Amanda Stone, who is amid her third season at the helm with the program. The Mean Green went 12-12 in 2025, bowing out of the American Championship in the first round to Tulane. This year’s squad has already matched its win total from a season ago, holding a 12-5 record thus far. UNT has won nine of its past 10 matches, most recently taking down Iowa State on March 16.

ABOUT THE MAVERICKS

UT Arlington is under the direction of Head Coach Diego Benitez, who is amid his 21st season at the helm with the program. The Mavericks finished 9-10 a season ago and are 4-11 thus far in 2026. Despite toppling Abilene Christian last Friday, the group has still lost three of its last four, most recently falling 6-1 to Cal Poly on Tuesday.
