SAN ANTONIO – On Tuesday, UTSA Women’s Tennis hit the court for its fifth consecutive home match. The Roadrunners toppled Southern Miss handily, sweeping their way to a 4-0 win. The victory improved the squad to 8-1 at home and 8-6 overall this spring with one match remaining on their homestand. The Golden Eagles dropped their second straight contest, falling to 6-5 overall.
The hosts dropped only one set on the day, falling in a close tiebreaker on court two. Elsewhere, the ‘Runners made quick work of the visitors, not allowing a single opponent to tally four games in a set. When Aoka Nagasawa’s clash went final at 6-0, 6-2, Ki Kroll’s group secured its eighth home victory, doing so by a 4-0 score.
