The offensive explosion led to a 15-8 comeback victory, snapping a three-game skid and bumping the squad to 15-5 overall.
NO STRANGERS TO HOUSTON
The Roadrunners opened the month of March in the Bayou City, wrapping up their three-day stay at the BRUCE BOLT College Classic with a win over Baylor. The squad returns to the nation’s fourth-largest city on Tuesday with at least one more trip to Houston still looming this spring. Down the road, UTSA is set to visit Rice in a conference clash from April 2-4. Nine Roadrunners hail from the greater Houston area, including Katy, Spring and Cypress, among other cities. Houstonians make up more than one fifth, or 22.5 percent, of the UTSA roster.
IN HIS LANE
Lane Haworth has started all 20 games in right field for Pat Hallmark’s squad this spring. The first-year Roadrunner leads the American Conference in hits (35) and batting average (.455) while ranking second in on-base percentage (.570) and fourth in OPS (1.193). The left-handed batter has drawn 19 walks and been hit by three pitches, stealing eight bases en route to 23 runs scored and 17 RBIs this season. At the BRUCE BOLT College Classic, he belted his first two home runs of the season, going deep in back-to-back plate appearances.

TAKE ‘EM WHERE YOU CAN GET ‘EM
This year, UTSA has drawn 116 walks through 20 games. While also being hit by 34 pitches, the squad is totaling an average of 7.5 free bases per night.
