FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – Opening the first of two events for the UTSA track & field teams at the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, junior Ida Breigan once again collected First Team All-America accolades in the long jump on Friday at Arkansas’ Randal Tyson Track Center.
Competing in her third consecutive NCAA Indoor, Breigan (Fredrikstad, Norway) reached a 6.35m (20-10) measurement on her third attempt to secure her spot in the finals and ultimately log eighth place in the final standings – securing her second career indoor First Team All-America nod.
With Friday’s finish, Breigan matches hall-of-famer Tameka Roberts-Nunez for the most indoor All-America honors and is the first UTSA long jumper to reach both three indoor All-America accolades and four overall in the event.

The NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships will continue on Saturday at Randal Tyson Track Center, as redshirt junior Jemuel Miller will take on the men’s triple jump at 5 p.m.
