The ‘Runners wrapped up their extended trip with a 7-3 record, toppling three Power Four programs in addition to No. 9 Coastal Carolina. UTSA (14-3) now turns its attention to UT Arlington for the last non-conference series of 2026, hosting the Mavericks (5-11) for a three-game set. First pitch is slated for 6 p.m. on Friday as the Navy & Orange eye their 13th straight regular-season series victory.

LAST TIME OUT
The ‘Runners visited Texas Tech on Tuesday and Wednesday in Lubbock. The two sides earned a midweek split as UTSA took the opener before falling 10-5 on Wednesday. Sam Simmons excelled on the mound in Tuesday’s 9-8 win, tossing the final 4.0 innings out of the bullpen and striking out four en route to his fourth victory of the campaign. At the plate, Josh Arquette racked up five total hits as one of four Roadrunners to hit a home run in the pair of outings at TTU.
‘RUNNERS IN THE POLLS
On Monday, D1Baseball released its updated top-25 list after the first four weeks of the spring. UTSA earned its second straight spot in the poll, climbing to No. 24 after its second consecutive 3-1 week. Baseball America also ranked the Roadrunners, doing so for the first time this year at No. 24. At the end of the 2025 campaign, the ‘Runners earned a No. 13 distinction in the D1Baseball poll, solidifying the highest mark in program history.
IN HIS LANE
Lane Haworth has started all 17 games in right field for Pat Hallmark’s squad this spring. The first-year Roadrunner leads the American Conference in hits (31), batting average (.492) and on-base percentage (.612). The left-handed batter has drawn 19 walks and been hit by two pitches, stealing eight bases en route to 21 runs scored and 15 RBIs this season. At the BRUCE BOLT College Classic, he belted his first two home runs of the season, hitting the same spot in the outfield bleachers on back-to-back at-bats across Friday and Saturday.
MYLES BETTER
Graduate left-handed pitcher Conor Myles has been on a tear as of late. Across his last two starts, the Australian has dealt 10.1 scoreless innings while allowing just five total hits. The third-year Roadrunner has dipped his ERA down to 1.80 on the season, boasting an 18:5 strikeout-to-walk ratio. For his efforts, he was named to the American Conference Player of the Week Honorable Mention list on Monday.
TAKE ‘EM WHERE YOU CAN GET ‘EM
This year, UTSA has already been hit by 32 pitches, ranking 44th in the nation and highest in the conference. The squad has also drawn 102 walks through 17 games in 2026, totaling an average of 7.9 free bases per game. The Roadrunners have only failed to draw four bases on balls three times this year. The group is 1-2 in such games and 13-1 when tallying at least four walks.
FLY LIKE DOVE
Junior Kendall Dove has been simply shutting the opposition down early in 2026. The second-year Roadrunner has made four appearances on the mound, tallying 17.1 innings of work with a 3.63 ERA. Dove is now 2-0 on the season, striking out 12 batters and allowing seven earned runs. Batters are hitting .224 and have just one home run across his quartet of weekend starts.
ABOUT THE MAVERICKS
UT Arlington is under the direction of second-year Head Coach Mike Trapasso, who holds a 26-44 record with the program. Last season, the Mavericks took an opening-weekend series from UTSA, winning two of three contests in Arlington. The group finished the campaign 21-33, holding an 11-13 mark in WAC play. The 2026 squad is out to a 5-11 start this go around, most recently taking two of three from Louisiana Monroe before dropping a midweek bout at No. 9 Oklahoma.
