SAN ANTONIO – UTSA Athletics will celebrate Let’s Go 2-1-0 Day on February 10 to commemorate the successes of the Roadrunners’ athletics programs and the strong bond that exists within the city of San Antonio, which is located largely in the 210 area code.
In 2023, the City of San Antonio and the Bexar County Commissioners Court proclaimed February 10 as UTSA 210 Day. In 2024, the State of Texas Senate and House of Representatives issued a resolution proclaiming February 10 as UTSA 210 Day.
Let’s Go 2-1-0 (“two-one-oh”) is the rallying cry that fills the stands and symbolizes the strong bond between San Antonio and the UTSA Roadrunners, San Antonio’s nationally recognized NCAA Division I FBS athletics program.
Let’s Go 2-1-0 Day Events
Blood Drive: UTSA Athletics is partnering with South Texas Blood and Tissue to host a blood drive in the Business Building University Room (2.06.04) on the UT San Antonio Main Campus from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Let’s Go 2-1-0 Day. It is open to the public. Those interested in participating in the blood drive can sign up online for a timeslot here. Donors will receive a complimentary Let’s Go 2-1-0 t-shirt.
UTSA Women’s Basketball vs. Temple: The UTSA women’s basketball team will play host to American Conference foe Temple, presented by Cowboys Air Conditioning and Heating, at 6:30 p.m. on February 10. The game will be packed with activations for fans. In addition to Let’s Go 2-1-0 Day, it is also the program’s Black History Month Game and Greek Night, as all student Greek orgs will be celebrated at the game. Fans will receive a brand-new Let’s Go 2-1-0 Shirt, featuring the San Antonio skyline, while supplies last. There will be free pizza for students in the back lobby. Pep Rally: UTSA Athletics will host a Let’s Go 2-1-0 Day pep rally in front of the Convocation Center beginning at 5:30 p.m. on February 10. The pep rally will feature appearances from the Spirit of San Antonio Band, UTSA Cheer, Rowdy and the UTSA Pom Squad.
Lil Lucky: San Antonio artist Lil Lucky will be a special guest of the Roadrunners on Let’s Go 2-1-0 Day. He will perform a custom rap about the UTSA women’s basketball team during the 5:30 p.m. pep rally. Lil Lucky will also deliver the game ball and sign limited-edition autograph cards inside the Convo at halftime of the UTSA women’s basketball game.
Student-Athlete Service Initiatives
This Let’s Go 2-1-0 Day, the Roadrunners are giving back – together. UTSA student-athletes from all sports will participate in a Day of Service to serve the greater San Antonio community.
Among the day’s student-athlete service initiatives are:
- Student-athletes will make dog toys to donate to shelter dogs in the greater San Antonio area.
- Student-athletes will make and write cards to deliver to patients at local hospitals and residents at local nursing homes.
- Student-athletes will make friendship bracelets to demonstrate their care for those who have made a difference in the lives of others.
Campus Initiatives
State of the Student Body Address: The Student Government Association will host its annual State of the Student Body Address on Tuesday beginning at 11 a.m., given by Student Government leaders. UTSA Athletics will have a presence at the event.
Light It Up: UTSA buildings both on the Main and Downtown Campuses will be lit orange and blue on Tuesday, February 10 in honor of Let’s Go 2-1-0 Day.
