After exchanging blows, an Udo free throw, and buckets by Rowe and Hardaway handed UTSA a 23-20 advantage. Tulsa connected from the corner to tie things up, as a Rowe layup and an Allen jumper followed to send the ‘Runners into the locker room leading, 27-23.
UTSA embarked on an 11-2 run to start the third, working a 38-25 advantage. A later eight-point surge that featured a junior Jayda Holiman triple increased the ‘Runners advantage to 17. Allen added a make from beyond the arc before the quarter hit it close with UTSA up, 49-32.
From there, UTSA never looked back, cruising to a 66-47 victory.
