SAN ANTONIO – UTSA Director Track & Field/Cross Country Aaron Fox has announced that the Roadrunners will be adding another highly decorated Serbian-champion jumper to the Roadrunners’ roster for next season, with the signing of national champion Stela Cuk.
“Stela is an exciting addition to our team,” Fox said. “She not only brings elite marks but great experience at the international level. It will be exciting to help her reach her potential in the classroom and in competition.”
Cuk hails from Belgrade, Serbia and attends Belgrade Sportska Gimnazija, where she competed alongside future UTSA teammate Adrea Prvanovic and earned the school’s Athlete of the Generation Award. Cuk helped her AK Top Jump squad to a 4x200-meter relay championship at the 2024 Serbian Indoor Championships as the second leg and also earned gold at the Serbian U20 Championships – with the team earning a national-record 1:43.10 clocking at the all-classes meet.
The 2025 season was eventful for Cuk, who won the Serbian U20 Championship in the triple jump with a 12.72m (41-8.75) skip, was second at the Serbian U20 Indoor Championships in the triple jump at 12.59m (41-3.75) and competed in the U20 European Athletics Championships.
In 2024, Cuk competed in the European Athletics Championships, finished fourth in triple jump at the Balkan U18 Championships on a 12.74m (41-9.75) measurement and helped Serbia to a third-place 4x100-meter finish at the Balkan Championships. She also won the triple jump at the Serbian U18 Championships and Serbian Cup, earning silver at the Belgrade U20 Indoor Championships and Bronze at the Serbian U18 Indoor Championships. In long jump, Cuk also collected gold at the Serbian U18 Championships and bronze at the Belgrade U20 Indoor Championships.
She hit a career-best 12.97m (42-6.75) in the triple during her Serbian Cup victory.
Earlier in her career, Cuk was a 2023 European Olympic Youth Festival finalist in the triple jump, competed in the European Athletics Championship, earned a U18 national championship with her 4x100-meter relay and set U18 Serbian National Records in the triple jump at 12.31m (40-4.75) and U16 in the high jump at 1.79m (5-10.5) – ranking on top of the world standings in her age group for both events.
She earned her top career long jump of 5.85m (19-2.5) at the 2023 Serbian U20 Championships.
