UTSA signs Serbian jumper/sprinter Andrea Prvanovic

SAN ANTONIO – The Roadrunners have added some more strength for the upcoming outdoor season, as UTSA Director Track & Field/Cross Country Aaron Fox announced on Tuesday the newest member of the Roadrunners’ roster, adding Serbian jumper and sprinter Andrea Prvanovic to this year’s squad.

“We are excited to welcome an athlete like Andea with solid international experience,” Fox said. “She has such a high ceiling, and we can’t wait to jump right in and help her reach her goals in competition and in her education.”

Attending Hutchinson Community College (Kan.) last season but not competing, Prvanovic hails from Belgrade, Serbia and is a graduate of Belgrade Sportska Gimnazija. She earned triple jump bronze at the Memorial Aleksandar Marinković XII International Athletic Meeting last July in her hometown of Belgrade, reaching a career-best 12.32m (40-5). In June, she was also seventh in the 100-meter at the Serbian U20 Championships in Kruševac on a 12.23 clocking. In May, she was third at the Serbian Team Championships in the triple jump, while also helping her Crvena Zvezda Beograd squad to win the national title in the 4x100-meter relay.

With a diversity of events across her career, Prvanovic earned the 400-meter hurdles national title at the 2023 Serbian U18 Championships on a time of 1:03.79, while also helping win the 4x100m relay. Those performances came less than a month off winning both events at the Serbian U20 Championships.

Winner of Best Younger Junior Athlete of Belgrade and Best Female Athlete if Zemun Municipality U18 in 2023, Prvanovic was part of the Serbian National Team, earned 300-meter and 300-meter hurdles national titles and was the leader among Belgrade long jumpers in 2023. She represented Serbia in the 17th European Youth Olympic Festival (2023).

Prvanovic comes to UTSA with a top long jump mark of 5.52m (18-1.5) from the 2022 Serbian U20 Club Championships, along with career-best times of 24.85 in the 200-meter and a wind-aided 12.08 in the 100m from the 2025 Serbian U20s – in addition to a 12.22 wind-legal top time. In the 400m hurdles, Prvanovic has a top time of 1:02.29, earning second at the 2022 Serbian Championships and third at the 2023 Serbian Cup.
