IRVING, Texas – The American Conference released the 2026 Preseason Coaches’ Poll on Wednesday, with UTSA being selected ninth and receiving 20 points.
Florida Atlantic was chosen as the league's favorite, earning 80 points and eight first-place votes. South Florida was second, with 71 points and two first-place nods. Wichita State rounds out the top three with 59, and Charlotte is not far behind with 58.
North Texas was slotted fifth at 45 and East Carolina sixth at 44. Tulsa was seventh, scoring 35, and UAB eighth with 27 points. Rounding out the group and behind UTSA, Memphis was 10th, scoring 11.
