UTSA soccer welcomes transfer class for 2026

SAN ANTONIO – Building toward next year’s roster for the defending American Conference Tournament Champions, eighth-year UTSA soccer head coach Derek Pittman announced on Friday, Jan. 23, that the Roadrunners have added four transfer players set to join the squad for 2026 in Dulci Binns, Jazira González, Caroline Pelkofski and Emma Kate Schroll. Three of the four transfers will join the Roadrunners in the spring semester, with the fourth coming in the summer. In addition, previously announced incoming freshman defender Sam Garafalo starts her UTSA career in Spring 2026. Bolstering UTSA’s returning championship roster, this group adds two midfielders, a forward and a defender, with players hailing from England, Puerto Rico, Florida and Georgia.

Dulci Binns
Position: Forward

Club: River City Football Club

Bio: Attended SEC third-place Georgia as a freshman in the fall, which made an at-large NCAA appearance in 2025, earning a spot on the honor roll … Hailing from Leicestershire, England, she led River City Football Club in scoring for three consecutive seasons (2023-25), helping her squad to a 2025 Adobe Women's FA Cup appearance after reaching the Leicester County Cup final in 2022 and 2023 … Binns played for Leicester City Football Club U14-U18 teams, was invited to the 2019 U15 England National Trials and also was a 2019 Futsal National invitee … Binns joins the Roadrunners in Spring 2026.

 

Jazira González
Position: Defender
Height: 5-4
Hometown: Aguadilla, Puerto Rico
High School: Western Reserve Academy (Ohio)
Previous School: Eastern Florida State
Club: Cleveland Force USL

Bio: Played two seasons as a defender at Eastern Florida State in Melbourne, helping the squad to a 17-12-1 record over that stretch and winning the 2024 NJCAA Southeast District Championship Semifinal to reach the district title game … She was named to the 2025 NJCAA All-Region 8 Team and started in 26-of-28 appearances for the Titans … She registered a goal and an assist, both last season at EFSC … Played club for Cleveland Force for two years and appeared for the U17 Women’s National Team of the Puerto Rican Football Federation during the 2022 CONCACAF Championship in the Dominican Republic … Originally from Puerto Rico, she graduated from Western Reserve Academy in Hudson, Ohio, where she was twice the Offensive MVP and earned All-Tri-County League First Team and All-Area (Akron) following her junior and senior seasons … Played two years of club with Cleveland Force … She joins the Roadrunners in Spring 2026.

 

Caroline Pelkofski
Position: Midfielder
Height: 5-7
Hometown: Cape Coral, Fla.
High School: Bishop Verot High School

Club: Florida Premier FC ECNL

Bio: Played her freshman year at South Florida with six games and one assist for the Bulls … Came to Tampa from nearby Bishop Verot High School, where she led the squad to a 17-2-1 record as a junior with a 2024 FHSAA Class 3A Sweet 16 appearance, District 8-3A championship and Private 8 title … During her senior campaign, she led the BV Vikings to another Private 8 crown, a 3A Regional Final appearance and a 16-2-1 record … Pelkofski was named FHSAA 3A Player of the Year, Florida Dairy Farmers 3A Player of the Year FDF Miss Soccer Award finalist and was a four-year FHSAA All-State First Team selection, along with All-Region and All-Area honors each of her four years … Began her high school career at Mariner High School, leading the team to a 22-3 record and 5A State Championship as a freshman in 2022, following up with a 18-5-1 State Runner-up finish in 2023 … Overall, in her high school career, Pelkofski’s teams registered a record of 73-12-3 and she recorded 57 goals with 54 assists across her four years … Was a two-time Academic All-State honoree … Appeared on the 2019 Florida Olympic Development Program Team and was selected Most Valuable Player by the Florida Athletic Coaches Association (FACA), also earning MVP in the FACA All-Star Classic and Lee County All-Star Classic … Played club for Florida Premier FC ECNL … Pelkofski joins the Roadrunners in Spring 2026.

 

Emma Kate Schroll
Position: Midfielder
Height: 5-9
Hometown: Dacula, Ga.
High School: Mill Creek High School
Previous School: Louisville
Club: Concorde Fire

Bio: Made 17 appearances with two starts last season at Louisville, logging two assists with a .400 SOG percentage in her third season playing for the Cardinals … Helped 23rd-ranked UL reach the 2025 ACC Tournament and the second round of the NCAA Championships … While at Louisville, Schroll played in 49 games and six starts, accounting for 1,488 minutes and registering four assists … Came to the Cardinals as a four-year starter at Mill Creek High School, earning United Soccer Coaches All-Region and All-State honors, as well as the Regional Midfielder of the Year award in her senior season … Helped her team secure its second region title and a state runner-up finish while tallying two goals and seven assists with 10 team shutouts … As a junior, Schroll earned Defensive Player of the Year honors … Played club for Concorde Fire ECNL … Schroll will join the Roadrunners in the summer.
