by Sean Cartell

SAN ANTONIO – UTSA Athletics will welcome the Houston Astros Caravan to UT San Antonio’s main campus from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23. The event will take place on the central plaza near the Rowdy statue. It is free and open to the public and student body.

A handful of Houston Astros players will be on hand signing autographs and will be accompanied by members of the UTSA baseball team. Attendees will be able to take photos with the Astros World Series trophies from 2017 and 2022. Free food will be provided for student attendees, while supplies last.

The Roadrunners are one of six teams who have been selected to play in the prestigious BRUCE BOLT College Classic benefiting the Astros Foundation from February 27 through March 1 at Daikin Park in Houston.

The Roadrunners are coming off a historic 2025 season in which they became the first program in school history to record a top-10 NCAA finish. UTSA won a program-record 47 games, captured the American Conference regular-season championship, claimed the NCAA Austin Regional and advanced to the NCAA Super Regional.
