LAS VEGAS – Former UTSA women’s basketball standout Jordyn Jenkins has officially signed a WNBA Training Camp Contract with the Las Vegas Aces, the organization announced. In doing so, Jenkins became the first Roadrunner in program history to sign with a WNBA program.
“We are so excited for Jordyn to have this opportunity,” said coach Karen Aston. “To get invited to the training camp of a World Championship organization is priceless … she worked really hard for this opportunity and I know she will soak it all up. We are all so proud of her and wish her the very best in her professional career.”
After a collegiate career for the history books, Jenkins makes the leap into the professional ranks following a season that saw her named the 2024-25 American Athletic Conference Player of the Year. Also a First Team All-AAC pick, she led the league, averaging 18.8 PPG at a 47.6% clip to go with 6.9 RPG and 34 blocks. In her first season at UTSA, she was the Conference USA Player of the Year and Newcomer of the Year in 2022-23, scoring a program-record 659 points across the campaign.
