IRVING, Texas — The American Athletic Conference announced on Monday its seeds and pairings for the upcoming AAC Women’s Tennis Championships in Memphis. The 18-4 UTSA Women’s Tennis team was selected as the No. 8 seed and will take on the No. 9 UAB Blazers (14-8) in the first round at 9 a.m. on April 17 in Memphis, Tennessee.
UTSA capped off a 18-4 regular season with a 4-0 win over UT Arlington on Friday, Apr. 4. Seeds for the championships were determined by the ITA Collegiate Tennis Rankings through matches on Sunday, Apr. 13. The women’s championship begins at Memphis’ Leftwich Tennis Center on Thursday, Apr. 17 and will run to Sunday, Apr. 20.
The Roadrunners are scheduled to face the ninth-seeded UAB in the first round on Thursday, Apr. 17, at 9 a.m. The winner of that match will go on to take on No. 1 Florida Atlantic on Friday, Apr. 18 at 9 a.m.
