SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA women's basketball team is set to kick-start American Conference play on Tuesday, with a 1 p.m. bout against Tulane on the docket inside the Convocation Center.
As a part of the festivities, fans will have the opportunity to take a photo with the SERVPRO First Responder Bowl trophy, and the Roadrunners will recognize UTSA first-generation graduate and two-time boxing national champion Amanda Sendejo at the game. Additionally, UTSA will be donning alternate black uniforms for the first time in 2025-26.
The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+ with Jordy Fee-Platt (play-by-play), Carlie Heineman (analyst) and Katie Goodman (reporter) on the call. Neal Raphael will deliver all the action on the radio in the greater San Antonio area on The Bull 93.3 FM and worldwide on the iHeartRadio app. Fans can purchase tickets at goutsa.com/wbbtickets.
The Roadrunners (5-6, 0-0 American) enter league play a game under .500, after falling to Columbia, 70-65, last time out. Senior Ereauna Hardaway provided a bright spot, scoring 17 to go with seven assists, six rebounds and two steals. Classmate Cheyenne Rowe logged 16 points, sophomore Damara Allen 12 and junior Jayda Holiman 10.
The Green Wave (5-7) defeated Campbell, North Florida, Elon, New Orleans and Delaware State in nonconference play, most recently topping the Hornets 76-44 before losing 70-67 in overtime to Mercer in the Tulane Holiday Tournament championship.
Kanija Daniel leads the team with 11.3 points per game, and Amira Mobry is not far behind, managing 11.1. Dyllan Hanna commands the boards with 7.2 rebounds per game, with Mobry again second at 6.8. Defensively, Daniel has swiped 20 steals, while Hanna has recorded 17 blocks on the season. Additionally, Kendall Sneed has dished out 45 assists for the squad.
