SAN ANTONIO — The UTSA Department of Intercollegiate Athletics celebrated 21 fall student-athlete graduates in a ceremony on Sunday afternoon at the Roadrunner Athletics Center of Excellence.
"We are proud of these exceptional student-athlete graduates," UTSA Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Lisa Campos said. "Helping our student-athletes graduate and preparing them for their futures is our most important responsibility. Managing the demands of competing in an NCAA Division I sport, coupled with a full academic load, is not an easy task. It’s also a tremendous credit to the work of our Student-Athlete Academic Services staff and the commitment of our coaches to academic success. These student-athletes will continue to be terrific ambassadors for UTSA long after their graduation."
UTSA’s Fall Commencement is being held in two ceremonies on Monday at the Alamodome.
UTSA’s student-athlete graduates represent:
- 1 NCAA postseason team appearance
- 2 NCAA postseason individual appearances
- 4 bowl games
- 2 conference championships
- 2 individual conference championships
- 1 all-region honoree
- 9 all-conference certificates
- 2 NFCA All-American Scholar Athletes
- 4 academic all-district selections
- 10 American Conference All-Academic Team honors
- 2 Conference USA Commissioner’s Honor Roll selections
- 1 All-America Mascot
- 3 NCA & NDA College Nationals top-5 finishes
- 3.16 cumulative GPA
- 570 community service hours (Stefanie will provide)
