Fox, UTSA announce indoor track & field schedule

SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA track & field program has announced the 2025-26 Indoor schedule on Monday, opening up the six-meet slate on the first weekend of December for the first time since 2013. Staying on the nationally focused schedule, the Roadrunners will also get three opportunities to compete in the Lone Star State.

Kicking off the 18th season with Director of Track & Field/Cross Country Aaron Fox leading the combined program, the Roadrunners will have two meets on opening weekend. Multi-event athletes will travel to Reno, Nevada, set for competition at the Silver State Invitational & Combined Event at the Biggest Little City Indoor Track, Dec. 4-6. In addition, a large contingent of Roadrunners will travel to College Station, Texas, competing on Dec. 6 at Texas A&M’s McFerrin-12 Degree Invitational at the R.A. "Murray" Fasken '38 Indoor Track.

When the Roadrunners return for the Spring semester, Indoor competition restarts back in College Station and at Fasken Indoor for the Ted Nelson Invitational, held Jan. 23-24.

Just 14 days later, it’s another trek to College Station, taking on the Charlie Thomas Invitational, Feb. 6-7, at Fasken.

The following week, UTSA will wrap its Indoor regular season in Albuqurque, New Mexico, competing in the Don Kirby Elite Invitational for the second time in the last three seasons. UNM’s elite Indoor competition will be held at the Albuquerque Convention Center, Feb. 13-14.

The postseason kicks off with the American Conference Indoor Championships, back at the Birmingham CrossPlex in Birmingham, Alabama, for the 10th consecutive time. The Roadrunner women came within 3.5 points of the top spot last season, finishing second with 92.5 points, while the men were seventh. This year’s edition of the championships is slated for Feb. 27-28.

The final competition of the 2026 Indoor season is set for Fayetteville, Arkansas’ Randal Tyson Track Center with the NCAA Indoor Track & Field Championships, to be held March 13-14.
