SAN ANTONIO – UTSA (13-12, 6-8) defeats Tulane (11-14, 3-11) 3-1(23-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-21) on Sunday, Nov. 9 at the Convocation Center. The Roadrunners close out their 2025 home campaign with a record of 7-6.
Set One
Early in the first set, the Green Wave went on a four-point run to go up 6-2 over the Roadrunners. A three-point scoring surge gave Tulane a 14-9 lead. The Roadrunners went on a four-point scoring run to cut the Tulane lead to one point. UTSA was able to tie it up at 16-16 thanks to a three-point scoring run. Both teams battled back and forth to tie the match at 22-22. Tulane was able to pull away with the set, winning 25-23.
Set Two
The Roadrunners found themselves in a hard-fought set, at the match was tied 8-8. Neither team could pull away as the game stayed close. Tulane won the race to 20, leading by one; however, UTSA managed to tie the game at 20-20. UTSA managed to pull away, evening the match by winning the second set 25-23.
Set Three
The Roadrunners found themselves down 10-7 before they went on a four-point scoring run to go up 11-10. Tulane went on a five-point scoring run to go up 16-12. UTSA cut the lead to one on a three-point scoring run to make it 16-15 in favor of the Green Wave. Tulane managed to win the race to 20 as they were up 20-17. UTSA was able to tie it up at 21-21 before going on a four-point scoring run to win set three 25-22.
Set Four
In yet another hard-fought set, Tulane led the Roadrunners 7-6 before going on a nine-point scoring surge to lead 16-6. The Roadrunners answered with a nine-point run to cut the Tulane lead to one point. Tulane led the race to 20 as they were up 20-17. UTSA went on a five-point scoring run to go up 22-20. UTSA closed it out as they won 25-21.

- Giada Obregon had 20 digs on the match for her 17th double-digit dig match of her career.
- Megan Hawkins had 20 assists and 13 digs for her eighth double-double of the season.
- Caroline Tredwell recorded 10 kills, marking her ninth double-digit kill match of the season.
- Gigi Mason notched 10 kills for her sixth double-digit kill match of the season.
- Ally Tribe had 10 kills for her 11th double-digit kill match of the season.
