UTSA to compete in American Conference Championship

TAMPA, Fla. – The No. 8 UTSA Roadrunners are set to compete in the American Conference Volleyball Championships at 10 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 21, in Tampa, Fla., at The Corral. The Roadrunners will take on the first-seeded Rice Owls in the first round of the championships.

The matches will be streamed on ESPN+. Live stats will be available here.

This is the Roadrunners’ first appearance in the American Championship since joining the league in 2023. The Roadrunners have won three conference tournaments, with their last being in 2013 as a part of Conference USA.

The conference championship is a single-elimination tournament. Quarterfinals will take place on Friday, Nov. 21, semifinals will be on Saturday, Nov. 22 and the championship game will be on Sunday, Nov. 23.

The eight teams that will be featured in the tournament are the regular-season champions: Rice, South Florida, Tulsa, North Texas, Wichita State, Florida Atlantic, and Charlotte.

This is head coach Carol Price-Torok’s fifth appearance in a conference tournament. Price-Torok led Bradly to four consecutive Missouri Valley Conference tournaments from 2018-21.
