She's made the UIL Texas State playoffs in all three seasons, reaching the State Championship in 2024-25, before falling in the title game. Kinsey also excelled in the classroom, making a pair of Academic All-District squads, and she clubbed with Southwest Select 3SSB.
She is the daughter of Lamandria Fields and Mario Kinsey, has two sisters, Audyci Vaugh and Kayla Rae, and a brother, Jeyden Fields-Vaugh. She comes from an athletic family, with her father playing college basketball and football at Kansas.
At UTSA, she will study sports management with a minor in education, aiming to become a coach after her basketball career.
Head Coach Karen Aston on Kinsey:
"We are so excited to welcome Rihyana to the program. She's an extremely talented combo guard that can score at all three levels and brings a ton of energy onto the court. She'll be a fan favorite in The Convo, and we can't wait to get her in our gym!"
