IRVING, Texas – Freshman defensive specialist Giada Obregon was named to the American Conference All-Freshman team, the conference office announced on Thursday, Nov. 19.
Obregon had a standout freshman season as she played in 60 sets against conference opponents, recording 3.77 digs per set, 1.20 assists per set and .40 service aces per set. The libero notched a total of 226 digs with a reception percentage of .949.
Obregon also had 24 total service aces in conference games. Obregon is also tenth in the conference in digs per set with 3.33 in all games. Against Tulane on Oct. 31, Obregon recorded 26 digs, which is tied for sixth in digs in five-set matches in the conference
