Roadrunners clinch spot in American Volleyball Championship

SAN ANTONIO – For the first time in program history, UTSA Volleyball has clinched a spot in the American Volleyball Championship on Friday, Nov. 14.

With Temple falling to Tulsa 3-1 and UAB falling to East Carolina 3-2, the Roadrunners have clinched the final spot in the American Volleyball Championship. The Roadrunners were the eighth and final team to clinch a spot in the American Championship.

UTSA will play in the American Championship on Nov. 21-23 in Tampa, Fla., at The Corral. The eight teams that will be featured in the tournament are the regular-season champions: Rice, South Florida, Tulsa, North Texas, Wichita State, Florida Atlantic, and Charlotte.

UTSA will face off against the first-seeded Rice Owls on Friday, Nov. 21, in the first round.
