SAN ANTONIO – As a part of National Signing Day, UTSA head softball coach Vann Stuedeman announced five additions to the squad in Sophia Alo, Nyah Hungar, Aubrey Mask, Bella Rivera and Madison Young.
Sophia Alo | 5-9 | INF | R/R | Kaneohe, Hawaii | Campbell HS
Alo makes her way to the Alamo City after a standout career at Campbell High School, where she claimed the 2023 Division I State Championship and finished third in 2024 and 2025. The Kaneohe native was a First-Team All-State selection in 2025 after posting the second-highest batting average in Hawaii, and she was named to the second team in 2024. Alo was on the Oahu Interscholastic Association first team in 2025, the second team in 2024, and an honorable mention in 2023. She got the job done in the classroom as well, maintaining a 3.78 GPA. Additionally, she clubbed with Lady Knights Black Hawaii 18u.
She is the daughter of Andrea and Levi Alo, and has three sisters, Sabrina, Jocelyn and Lorraine. She comes from a softball family, with Jocelyn winning two National Championships at Oklahoma and serving as the NCAA all-time leader in home runs (122), slugging percentage (.987), and total bases (761). Jocelyn is currently playing professionally for the Oklahoma City Spark, while Lorraine is in her first season at Fresno State after transferring from Portland State.
At UTSA, Alo will study business administration with a minor in sports management.

Nyah Hungar | 5-10 | INF | R/R | Surrey, British Columbia, Canada | École Salish Secondary
Hailing from Canada, Hungar will compete for UTSA after graduating from École Salish Secondary in Surrey, British Columbia. She performed well in the classroom, maintaining a 3.70 GPA, while earning an Academic Writing of Excellence award and a DELF Certificate. The infielder clubbed with Washington Ladyhawks 18U Gold Simpson.
At UTSA, she will study biology with the goal of working in health care. She is the daughter of Kimberly and Schaelen Hungar and has one brother, Owen. Additionally, her father played college basketball for Simon Fraser University.

Aubrey Mask | 5-6 | INF | R/R | Sherman, Texas | Sherman HS
A highly decorated athlete from Sherman, Texas, Mask is a three-time First-Team All-District selection and has also claimed a trio of Offensive MVPs and a 2024 UIL Texas 5A All-State nod. She was also the 2023 All-Texomaland Newcomer of the Year. She clubbed at Impact Gold National 18u NTX.
Mask is the daughter of Nicole and Fred Mask and has three sisters, Brennah, Chloe, and Camryn. At UTSA, she will study psychology to become a mental health counselor.

Bella Rivera | 5-6 | OF | L/L | Austin, Texas | Del Valle HS
Rivera competed in multiple varsity sports at Del Valle HS – all four years in softball, three years in volleyball and two in powerlifting. On the diamond, she picked up a pair of First-Team All-District honors as a sophomore and junior after making the second team as a freshman. She helped the Cardinals to the UIL Texas State 6A playoffs twice, and a 5.70 GPA has landed her on five separate Academic All-District teams between sports. Additionally, she served as a National Honor Society member and clubbed with Next Generation 18u Gold.
Rivera is the daughter of Sonia Sanchez and Luis Rivera and has two sisters, Lena and Lucia. She will study radiology at UTSA to become an X-ray technician.

Madison Young | 5-11 | P/INF | R/R | Olive Branch, Miss. | St. Benedict at Auburndale HS
Young will make the trek to San Antonio after picking up six softball letters between Olive Branch High School in Mississippi and St. Benedict at Auburndale HS in Tennessee. At Olive Branch, she was named Offensive MVP for the 2021 and 2022 seasons, while picking up a Region 2 6A honorable mention in 2023. After moving to Tennessee, she was First-Team All-Metro and All-Region in 2025, while finishing as the DII-AA State runner-up. Young helped the squad win the 2024 and 2025 District Championships and clubbed with MS Bombers 18u National Knight. She also played basketball at each school, winning All-District honorable mention in 2023 and All-West Region in 2025.
At UTSA, she will study sports management with a minor in photography, aiming to work in a professional team's media services department. She is the daughter of Youlanda and Darryl Young, and she has two brothers, D.J. and Jordan.
