Q: Why did you choose UTSA?

Drew Detlefsen: "I chose UTSA because of Coach Hallmark and the competitive desire to win. Other than the fact that I believed he and the rest of the staff could make me become the best athlete, it was also because of the fact that I love to win." 
 
Q: What do you like most about being a student-athlete at UTSA?

Drew Detlefsen: "Being a student-athlete here, I really appreciate the amount of resources we have here at UTSA, the people, technology, etc." 
 
Q: How did you first get involved in playing baseball?

Drew Detlefsen: "I first got involved with baseball when I was 7. My brother and I both started together thanks to my father and it took off from there, falling in love with the sport." 
 
Q: What are you majoring in and what do you hope to do following your athletic career?

Drew Detlefsen: "I’m majoring in kinesiology and business and want to pursue a career working with athletes."
 
Q: What is an interesting fact about you that most people might not know?

Drew Detlefsen: "A interesting fact about me is that I am able to snowboard and ski. My mother and father loved taking us on trips when I was little and I grew passionate about that sport." 
 
Q: Who has been the most influential person in your life?

Drew Detlefsen: "I would say the most influential human in my life is my father. He has been a role model to me ever since I could remember and has never stopped guiding me into a better person, teammate, and leader." 
 
Q: Who is your sports role model? 

Drew Detlefsen: "My sports role model would probably be Mike Trout. He plays the game the right way while always giving full effort even at the highest level."
