MEMPHIS – The Roadrunners picked up their second American Conference win, defeating Memphis 3-0 (25-16, 25-17, 25-13) at the Elma Roane Fieldhouse in Memphis, Tenn., on Friday, Oct. 3.
Set One
The Roadrunners jumped out of the gate as they went on a 7-1 scoring run to go up 9-1 over the Tigers. UTSA maintained its lead as it won the race to 20, leading Memphis by seven points. The Roadrunners closed it out, winning the first set 25-16.
Set Two
UTSA once again opened the set with a 7-1 scoring run. They then went on a three-point surge to go up 11-4 over the Tigers. UTSA rode another three-point scoring surge to go up 16-9 over the Tigers. UTSA won the race to 20 thanks to a kill by Gigi Mason.
Set Three
UTSA opened up the third set with a three-point surge to lead by two. Giada Obregon recorded back-to-back service aces to put the Roadrunners up by five. Caroline Tredwell followed suit with back-to-back service aces to go up 16-8. UTSA led by ten when they won the race to 20. The Roadrunners managed to cap off the sweep as they won the third set 25-13.

- With the win, the Roadrunners are off to their best start in American Conference play.
- Ally Tribe and Mason co-led the team in kills with eight.
- Obregon led the team in digs with eight.
- Megan Hawkins led the team in assists with 15.
