Roadrunners to take on 2025 American Conference Cross Country Championships

SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA cross country team is set to compete at the 2025 American Conference Cross Country Championships on Saturday at Frank Liske Park in Concord, North Carolina.

The men will compete in the 8k at 8:15 a.m., while the women take on the 6k at 9 a.m. The event will be streamed live on ESPN+ with Scott Manzie (play-by-play) and Bryan Fetzer (analyst) on the call.

Senior O.J. Ruiz holds the squads top 8k time of the season after clocking in at 24:46.0 at the Arturo Barrios Invitational, and freshman Ethan Carranza was not far behind with a time of 24:46.3. Fellow newcomer David Zuniga finished in 25:27.7 at the Gan’s Creek Classic earlier in the year and classmate Austin Lyda worked a season-best time of 25:25.06 in College Station, Texas. Additionally, freshman Amisadai Yanez rounds out the top-five times of 2025 at 26:09.6 from the Gan’s Creek Classic.

On the women’s side, newcomer Jocelyn Karry delivered a 22:05.5 time in the 6k in Colombia, Missouri, with classmate Madison Gilliam (23:31.6) and Annaliese Munoz (23:52.6), joining juniors Jadelyn Malesich (23:53.4) and Itzel Rojo (25:48.8) in logging season-best marks at the Arturo Barrios Invitational.
