Get Your Costumes Ready: Celebrate Halloween with UTSA Athletics

by Sean Cartell

SAN ANTONIO – UTSA Athletics is kicking off Halloween a day early with a full day of spirited fun on Thursday, October 30, and fans are invited to join the celebration in their best costumes.

The festivities begin with ESPN’s SportsCenter on Campus broadcasting live from 1–2 p.m. CT on the Student Union Rowdy Lawn. Fans are encouraged to show up in costume — whether as their favorite Halloween character or as Coach Jeff Traylor himself — for a chance to appear on national television. Coach Traylor will select the winning costume live on ESPN, so bring your creativity and Roadrunner pride.

The celebration continues that evening as the Roadrunners take on Tulane in the annual Lights Out game at the Alamodome. Kickoff is set for 6:30 p.m., and fans are encouraged to wear black or their Halloween costumes. Please note, fans wearing masks as part of their costumes will need to remove them when interacting with Alamodome event staff at entry points and concession stands.

Join UTSA Athletics for a day full of school spirit, and Halloween fun—on campus and at the Dome!
