Roadrunners to host Wichita State and East Carolina

SAN ANTONIO – UTSA (10-7, 3-3) is set to host Wichita State (12-6, 4-2) at 6 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 17 and East Carolina (10-7, 2-4) at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 19, at the Convocation Center in two American Conference matchups.

Both games will be broadcast on ESPN+ with Alex Loeb and Samantha Thomas on the call. Live stats will be available at UTSA.statbroadcast.com.

This is the Roadrunners’ second and third games of their three-game American home stand. UTSA is coming off a 3-0 loss to a conference foe. After the two matches this weekend, UTSA will hit the road for a three-game road trip.

UTSA is currently 7-3 in its last ten games, which includes a three-game win streak. The Roadrunners are also 3-3 in conference play in the previous ten games that the Roadrunners have played.

The Roadrunners are 3-5 all-time against the Wichita State Shockers.   The Roadrunners won the last game that was played in the Convocation Center. They are 2-3 in Wichita, Kan., and 0-2 in neutral site games.

UTSA is1-2 all-time against the East Carolina Pirates. The Roadrunners are 1-1 in matches played in San Antonio and 0-1 in matches played in East Carolina. UTSA’s lone win came on Nov. 15, 2013.
