SAN ANTONIO – The 2025 UTSA cross country season will continue Friday, with the squad headed for Bryan-College Station, Texas, to compete at the Arturo Barrios Invitational at the Watts Cross Country Course.
The men will take on the 8k at 8:30 a.m., and the women the 6 6k at 9:15 a.m., after last competing at the Gan’s Creek Classic. The men placed 24th in Colombia, Missouri, as freshman Ethan Carranza led the way for the second consecutive meet. Caranza clocked in at 25:11.5 en route to 154th, and senior O.J. Ruiz was not far behind, finishing in 25:20.2 for 168th.
On the women’s side, newcomer Jocelyn Karry cruised to 79th with a time of 22:05.5, helping the team to a 26th-place finish. Classmate Madison Gilliam followed Karry in 179th at 23:33.5, with junior Jadelyn Malesich placing 197th with a time of 23:59.9.
