Roadrunners embark on first road trip of 2025 campaign

SAN ANTONIO – The 0-2 UTSA Roadrunners will hit for the first time in the 2025 campaign to compete in the Dr. Mary Jo Wynn Invitational, on Friday, Sept. 5, through Saturday, Sept. 6, at the Hammons Student Center in Springfield, Mo.

 The Roadrunners will kick off the invitational against DePaul (2-1) at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 5 they will then play the host school, Missouri State (0-3) at 7 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 5. In the third and final match of the invitational, UTSA will play Lindenwood (3-0) on Saturday, Sept. 6 at 12 p.m.

All three games will be on statbroadcast with the game against Missouri State is being broadcast on ESPN+.

The Roadrunners are 1-2 against DePaul all-time. DePaul and UTSA haven’t played each other since Sept. 12, 2008, when the Roadrunners won 3-1. The Roadrunners are 1-0 against Missouri State all-time, playing just two seasons ago. Lindenwood and the Roadrunners have never played each other.

Three Roadrunners have recorded double-digit kills in the Texas State game. Caroline Tredwell recorded 16 kills, Ally Tribe tallied a team high 17 kills and Taylor Gaines notched 11 kills.

There have only been two Roadrunners who have notched a double-double this year, in Ilaria Durante and Tribe, reaching such a feat. Both student-athletes reached that feat against Texas State. Durante recorded 24 assists and 11 digs, and Tribe recorded 17 kills and 10 digs.
