Cross Country to compete at Gan’s Creek Classic

SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA cross country team is headed for Columbia, Missouri, with competition at the Gan’s Creek Classic on the docket Friday. Both teams will compete in the Black divisions, with the men taking on the 8k at 8:15 a.m., ahead of the women in the 5k at 10:30 a.m. The meet will be broadcast live on SEC Network+, and live results can be found here.

UTSA makes the trip to The Show-Me State after an idle week, last competing at the UIW Invitational, where the men finished fourth and the women eighth. Freshman Ethan Carranza led the way for the men, placing 13th with a time of 20:05.8 in the 4-mile. Also in the top-20, senior O.J. Ruiz was 16th in 20:15.20. On the women’s side, newcomer Jocelyn Karry clocked in at 19:05.0 in the 5k, collecting 30th. Freshman Madison Gilliam was next to cross the tape for the ‘Runners, taking 50th in 29:53.2.
