Women’s basketball nonconference opponents revealed

UTSA will host four teams in the Convocation Center before opening conference play

SAN ANTONIO – Head UTSA women’s basketball coach Karen Aston officially unveiled the 2025-26 nonconference schedule on Wednesday, with UTSA set to invite four opponents into the Convocation Center before beginning league play.

The Roadrunners will open the campaign on the road, with contests against Texas Tech on Nov. 6 in Lubbock, before facing Houston on Nov. 8.

A Battle of I-35 will kick-start the home slate on Nov. 13, as Texas State comes to the Convo, ahead of a Hometown Showdown against UIW on Nov. 19 at the McDermott Center.

UTSA then takes on the Hoopfest Basketball Women’s Challenge at the Comerica Center in Dallas, with contests against Auburn (Nov. 24) and Grand Canyon (Nov. 26) on the docket.

Following the Thanksgiving break, the ‘Runners will host UNLV on Dec. 3, just before making the trip to Waco to face Baylor on Dec. 7.

Back in San Antonio, UTSA hosts Prairie View A&M on Dec. 13 and Texas A&M-Kingsville on Dec. 15.

UTSA will wrap up the nonconference slate on the road, facing Columbia in New York City on Dec. 20.
