IRVING, Texas — Officials from the American Conference and ESPN announced on Monday that UTSA’s league opener at Temple on Saturday, Oct. 4, will kick off at 1 p.m. ET/12 p.m. CT and air on ESPN+.
The third meeting between the Roadrunners (2-2) and Owls (2-2) will be held at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. UTSA won both previous matchups, scoring a 49-34 road triumph on Oct. 7, 2023, in what was the Roadrunners’ first-ever American Conference football game and posting a 51-27 home victory on Nov. 22, 2024, at the Alamodome.
Winners of two straight games, UTSA held off Colorado State, 17-16, on the road last Saturday night after picking up its first win with a 48-20 home triumph over UIW on Sept. 13.
Temple opened the season with back-to-back wins over UMass and Howard before dropping its last two games to nationally ranked opponents in Oklahoma and Georgia Tech. Both teams are idle this weekend.
The Roadrunners will return home to host Rice for Homecoming on Saturday, Oct. 11. A game time and broadcast selection for that matchup is expected to be announced on Sept. 29. Fans can purchase tickets online or by calling the UTSA Ticket Office at 210-458-UTSA (8872) from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
