SAN ANTONIO – With a historical night on the schedule celebrating UTSA soccer’s 20th season at 7 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 18, for the long-standing cross-state rivalry with North Texas, the Roadrunners are looking to aim even higher. UTSA soccer is looking to make history by breaking the single-game home attendance record at the Park West Athletics Complex of 1,397, which was set on Aug. 17, 2023, against Central Arkansas.
“San Antonio, this is your night to show up and show out,” eighth year head coach Derek Pittman said. “In our 20th season of UTSA Soccer, let’s Pack Park West, bring the energy and make it a record-setting atmosphere as the Roadrunners take on American Conference rival North Texas – Let’s Run as One.”
With plenty of support from the UTSA student-athletes as the annual Run as One game, the Roadrunners are asking San Antonio to join in the Run as One spirit, make Park West extra Rowdy and cheer the squad to victory against the Mean Green.
Single-game tickets for the UTSA/North Texas game are now on sale. Click here to purchase tickets or contact the UTSA Athletics Ticket Office at 210-458-8872. If you have a group that would like to attend the game, please contact the ticket office.
UTSA is heading into American Conference play this week at Florida Atlantic and are currently at fourth in the league standings. The Roadrunners and Mean Green are meeting for the 15th time on Thursday, with UNT claiming the 8-5-1 advantage. Last year in Denton, the teams finished in a 2-2 tie. In its 20th season, UTSA played its first program game on Aug. 25, 2006, against Texas Tech at the UTSA Rec Fields.
