NORMAN, Okla. — The UTSA men’s golf program has earned the PLATFORM Golf All-Academic Team award for the seventh straight year, the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) announced Tuesday.
The Roadrunners received the award for posting a team GPA of 3.0-or-better after wrapping up their third season under head coach Matt Wernecke earlier this year.
A record total of 292 schools across six divisions earned a team academic award, as UTSA was one of 93 NCAA Division I programs to receive the All-Academic Team honor.
This award comes one week after Walker Franklin and Jack Wehman were selected as 2024-25 NCAA Division I Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars by the GCAA.
