SAN ANTONIO – Redshirt Junior Ty Hodge signs an undrafted free agent contract with the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday, July 22.

Hodge is the 20th Roadrunner to sign an UDFA contract in program history and just the second Roadrunner to sign a UDFA contract with the Red Sox. He joins Steve Minus, who signed an agreement with the Red Sox in 1999. Hodge is the second Roadrunner to sign a UDFA contract this year.

In his one year of playing with the Roadrunners, Hodge started in 51 games, all at shortstop. Hodge batted .292 on the year, driving in 41 RBIs. Hodge recorded 57 hits, including 12 doubles and six homers.

Hodge was named to the 2025 American Athletic Conference First Team for his production on the field. Hodge shined in the Austin Regional, leading to him being put on the 2025 Austin Regional All-Tournament Team.
