LEWISVILLE, Texas — UTSA assistant head coach and cornerbacks coach Nick Graham has been chosen for this year’s Dave Campbell’s Texas Football 40 Under 40, as the publication recognized 40 of the rising stars in the coaching ranks in the state of Texas.
This marks the fifth consecutive year a UTSA coach has been honored, as Graham joins offensive coordinator/quarterbacks coach Justin Burke (2024), associate head coach/pass game coordinator/wide receivers coach Joe Price (2023), former running backs coach Julian Griffin (2021), and former co-offensive coordinator Will Stein (2022).
A former standout cornerback at Tulsa and a six-year pro, Nick Graham is in his sixth season as UTSA's cornerbacks coach and second as assistant head coach after serving as defensive pass game coordinator in 2023.
During Graham’s time in San Antonio, the Roadrunners have enjoyed the most successful five-year run in program history with a 46-20 overall record, 31-8 regular season league mark, two conference championships, five bowl appearances and back-to-back bowl wins. He also has landed one of his cornerbacks on the all-conference first team in each of the past three seasons.
Graham also has been instrumental in the development of a pair of NFL Draft picks who starred at cornerback under his tutelage. Tariq Woolen was picked by the Seattle Seahawks in the fifth round of the 2022 NFL Draft and led the league with six interceptions as a rookie starter en route to earning a spot in the Pro Bowl. Zah Frazier was a fifth-round selection of the Chicago Bears after setting the UTSA single-season record with six picks en route to All-America honors in 2024.
