LOS ANGELES — The Roadrunners are set to face off against the UCLA Bruins in their first super regional appearance starting at 6 p.m. CT on Saturday, June 7, at Jackie Robinson Stadium. The second game is scheduled for 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 8, with the third game of the series to be determined.
UTSA is two wins away from making its first trip to the Men’s College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska. The Bruins are the only team that stands in their way. If the Roadrunners can win two games, UTSA will be on its way to Omaha.
All games of the super-regional will be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks. Victor Rojas and Todd Walker will be on the call for the entirety of the weekend.
The Roadrunners and Bruins have never played each other.
There are just 16 remaining teams; that number will be brought down to eight at the end of this weekend. The 16 remaining teams are Miami, Louisville, No. 15 UCLA, UTSA, No. 8 Oregon State, No. 9 Florida State, Duke, Murray State, No. 5 UNC, Arizona, No. 6 LSU, West Virginia, No. 4 Auburn, No. 13 Coastal Carolina, No. 3 Arkansas and No. 14 Tennessee.
