UTSA Selects Teamworks GM for Strategic Revenue Sharing Management

SAN ANTONIO - College athletics is undergoing its most significant financial transformation in decades, and programs across the country are turning to Teamworks General Manager (GM) to build the strategic infrastructure needed to compete and thrive in this new era. The University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA) is the latest to adopt Teamworks GM as its centralized revenue-sharing management platform, joining seven other American Athletic Conference institutions that are investing in long-term competitive advantage—not just compliance.

While basic regulatory tools are emerging industry-wide, Teamworks GM enables programs to turn mandatory processes into strategic levers from day one.

"Teamworks General Manager will be a tremendous resource for roster management, revenue sharing, contracts and payments that will assist our coaches, staff and administrators in all sports," said Lisa Campos, UTSA Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics. "Working strategically and creating operational efficiencies is more important than ever in this new era of collegiate athletics. We are fully committed to participating in revenue sharing with our amazing student athletes and this expanded partnership with Teamworks will allow us to optimize these processes."

Why UTSA Selected Teamworks GM

UTSA is not simply checking the box for compliance—it’s capitalizing on change. Rather than deploying siloed monitoring systems, the Roadrunners invested in a purpose-built platform tailored to their evolving operational needs. Fully integrated with UTSA’s existing Teamworks ecosystem, GM ensures seamless data flow and strategic alignment across departments.

Elevating Rev- Share Operations: From Compliance to Competitive Edge

Teamworks GM equips UTSA with powerful capabilities to navigate the complexities of revenue sharing and roster management:

  • Dynamic financial modeling aligned with up to a $20.5M revenue cap
  • Real-time roster synchronization for contract and compensation accuracy
  • Strategic compensation planning features that go beyond spreadsheets
  • Automated integrations and payment processing to eliminate manual bottlenecks
  • Configurable access controls to protect sensitive data

"UTSA understands that the programs who thrive in this new era will be the ones who see opportunity where others see complexity," said Wes French, General Manager of Teamworks Personnel. "By choosing comprehensive infrastructure over quick fixes, they're positioning themselves to lead rather than react."
