With Mia Lien and Rachela Pace both wrapping up their seasons, both Roadrunners delivered Second Team All-America honors.
Concluding the final three events of the heptathlon, Jakobsli, Norway redshirt freshman Lien came away with two clutch performances to rise to 13th in the final standings. Lien is the first outdoor nationals competitor in the event since 2007.
Also staking her claim at the national meet, Dingli, Malta senior Pace went 12.92m (42-4.75) in the triple jump, hitting that measurement on both her first and third attempts. The pair of Roadrunner women join senior Hugo Menin, who reached All-America honorable mention for his 17th-place 50.98 clocking in the men’s 400-meter hurdles on the opening day of competition at Hayward.
