SAN ANTONIO — UTSA is set to host UTRGV at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Mar. 18, and Tyler JC at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Mar. 20 at the UTSA Tennis Center in San Antonio, Texas. This is the first time UTSA will play on a Tuesday this season.
UTSA is 15-2 on the year with a 7-1 home record, 8-0 road record and 0-1 in neutral site matches. The Roadrunners’ two losses came against American Athletic opponents.
As a team, the Roadrunners have a singles record of 58-22. Arina Babenko has still not lost a singles match as she is 14-0. In doubles, UTSA is 28-15, and nine different doubles teams have recorded at least one win this year. The Roadrunners have outscored their opponents 70-27 this year.
Since 2007, the Roadrunners and UTRGV have played in 11 matches against each other with UTSA holding an 8-3 record against them. The last time they played each other was on Feb. 15, 2020, in San Antonio, Texas, where the Roadrunners won 7-0. Since 2007, UTSA and Tyler JC have played one match on Mar. 3, 2024, with the Roadrunners taking home the 7-0 victory.
After the matches this week, UTSA will play Tulsa at 10 a.m. on Sunday, Mar. 29 in Tulsa Okla.
