SAN ANTONIO — UTSA will travel to the Golf Club of Houston for the All-American Intercollegiate, which will be co-hosted by Rice and Houston on Monday-Tuesday, March 17-18.
The event will feature a team tournament held on the Tournament Course (par 72/7,245 yards) and an individual competition on the Member Course (par 72/7,508 yards).
The Roadrunners’ team lineup will feature Logan Zurn, Jack Wehman, Logan Vargas, Walker Franklin and Kaelen Dulany, while Brayden Bare and Jacob King will play in the individual event.
UTSA will compete against Houston, Lamar, North Texas, Penn, Rice, Sam Houston, Southern Miss, TCU, Texas State, Troy, ULM, No. 16 UNLV, UTRGV and Yale.
The field will play 36 holes on Monday and the final round is slated for Tuesday.
The Roadrunners are coming off a 13th-place showing at The Hayt last week in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Zurn led the way by carding a 2-over-par 218 (75-74-69) to tie for 22nd at Sawgrass Country Club.
Zurn owns UTSA’s second-best scoring average this season with a 73.85 mark. The junior from Grapevine, Texas, has placed in the top 30 in each of his last five outings including a season-best 16th with a 4-under 212 (72-71-69) at the Desert Intercollegiate last month.
Dulany paces the Roadrunners with a 73.62 stroke average in 2024-25. The sophomore from Keller, Texas, has finished in the top 20 twice including a tie for 11th at the Desert Intercollegiate where he fired a 7-under 209 that was highlighted by a 65 in the opening round.
Wehman carries a 74.25 scoring average in 12 rounds this season. The senior from Austin logged his top finish of the campaign with a tie for 32nd at the Desert Intercollegiate, carding a 1-under 215 (70-73-72) while playing as an individual.
Vargas has a 74.78 stroke average in 18 rounds and the Lubbock native turned in the top finish of his junior campaign with a tie for 43rd at the Trinity Forest Invitational last fall after posting a 2-over 218 (69-78-71).
Franklin totes a 75.24 scoring mark and the senior from Colorado enjoyed his top finish by tying for 32nd at the Vaqueros Intercollegiate last month in Mexico.
Bare, a redshirt sophomore from Waco, has a 75.47 stroke average and a top finish of 32nd in 15 rounds, while King, a junior transfer from Boerne, will be making his UTSA debut this week.
The Roadrunners have played in the All-American Intercollegiate nine times previously. Their top finish came in 2020 when they tied for fifth with an even-par 864. Last year, Hunter Bott’s top-25 finish guided UTSA to 17th.
