UTSA to take on Tulane in New Orleans

The 'Runners and Green Wave will meet at the Devlin Fieldhouse at 6:30 p.m.

SAN ANTONIO – The UTSA women's basketball team will head to New Orleans for a Tuesday night fight against Tulane at 6:30 p.m. inside the Devlin Fieldhouse. 

The game will be broadcast live on ESPN+, with Jack Benjamin (play-by-play) and Tiffany Aidoo (analyst) on the call.  Neal Raphael will deliver all the action on the radio in the greater San Antonio area on The Bull 93.3 FM and worldwide on the iHeartRadio app.

The Roadrunners (23-3, 14-1 The American) are fresh off a 57-55 road win over Rice that saw redshirt senior Jordyn Jenkins lead the way with 19 points and four rebounds. Junior Cheyenne Rowe joined her in the double-digit scoring club with 10 points off the bench, and graduate student Nina De Leon Negron dished out seven assists, with five rebounds and four steals.

The Green Wave (16-10, 9-6 The American) sit fifth in The American standings, one game back from Temple in the fight for the final double-bye in the conference tournament. 

Tulane boasts the top three-point percentage defense in the conference, holding the opposition to a 28.1% clip, and a 36.7% overall field goal defense sits just behind UTSA for the top spot.  

Individually, the Green Wave has the most efficient three-point shooter in the league, with Victoria Keenan hitting 44.2% of her shots from beyond the arc for the 21st-most in the NCAA. She's sunk 68 on the year, and Dyllan Hanna is second on the AAC blocking leader board with 34.

Sherese Pittman paces the squad in scoring with 13.9 PPG, while Kyren Whittington and Amira Mabry sit at 11.8 and 11.6 respectively. Pittman is Tulane's top rebounder with 7.1 RPG, and she has 33 steals and 19 blocks across the campaign.
