Two UTSA student-athletes nominated for inaugural Allstate and NACDA Good Works Team

SAN ANTONIO – Two members of the UTSA track & field team are among 193 student-athlete nominees nationally for the inaugural Allstate and National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA) Winter Good Works Team, recognizing excellence in academics, sports and community impact.

Oreoluwa Adamson and Christiaan Le Roux have been recognized for giving back to their communities as part of the newly expanded Good Works Team.

Adamson was a 2023 NCAA Indoor and Outdoor All-American in the long jump. She claimed the 2023 Conference USA Indoor Championships in the long jump and also was the 2023 Conference USA Outdoor Champion in the triple jump. Adamson is a three-time NCAA Outdoor West Preliminaries qualifier. She was the 2022-23 Conference USA Women’s Track & Field Scholar-Athlete of the Year and has earned multiple conference academic honor roll accolades. Adamson has volunteered countless hours in the community, including regular involvement in Team IMPACT. She has served as a peer mentor and has volunteered with the Northside ISD Special Olympics. Adamson has been involved in leadership of multiple student organizations and is currently pursuing her M.S. in Business.

Le Roux was the 2024 silver medalist in the long jump at the American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships, finishing fourth in that event at the AAC Outdoor Championships. He was the 2023 Conference USA Indoor and Outdoor Champion in the long jump. In 2022, Le Roux earned Honorable Mention All-America honors in the long jump. He has been a member of the UTSA Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and has served as one of UTSA’s representatives to the American Athletic Conference. Le Roux also is the UTSA SAAC’s Student Government Liaison. He has volunteered with UTSA Move In, the Roadrunner Food Pantry, the Northside ISD Special Olympics and countless other organizations. Le Roux has been named to a multiple conference academic honor rolls and is pursuing his B.S. in Mathematics.

A distinguished Selection Committee will select 20 nominees – 10 female and 10 male student-athletes – to join the 2024-25 Allstate NACDA Winter Good Works Team.
