IRVING, Texas – The American Athletic Conference released their 2025 Preseason Softball Coaches Poll, which saw UTSA selected to finish ninth in head coach Vann Stuedeman’s second season.
Wichita State was picked as the league’s favorite with 75 points and four first-place votes, and Florida Atlantic was not far behind with 70 and three first-place nods. North Texas was slotted third, receiving three first-place votes and 68 total points.
East Carolina was picked fourth at 57, South Florida fifth with 51 and Tulsa sixth at 41. In seventh, UAB was chosen with 31 points, while Charlotte earned 29 for eighth. The Roadrunners picked up 18 points to edge out Memphis, whose 10 points slotted them 10th.
