INDIANAPOLIS/NEW YORK – Redshirt senior Jordyn Jenkins' trophy case continues to grow, as on Wednesday, the NCAA named her to their weekly Starting Five for the third time in her career. In a separate release, The Associated Press listed her as an Honorable Mention among their Player of the Week.
Jenkins earns the accolades following a pair of sensational performances that saw her post 17 points and 10 rebounds across a 70-68 comeback at Memphis before scoring 21 with nine boards in a 73-63 win over UAB. On the week, she averaged 19.0 PPG with 9.5 RPG to go with three steals and two blocks. In addition to recognition from the NCAA and AP, she was named American Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the third consecutive week and the fifth time this season.
Previously, she was named to the NCAA Starting Five while at USC on Feb. 16, 2022, and earlier this year on Nov. 20, 2024, after posting double-doubles in a pair of victories over UTEP and New Mexico State, averaging 28.5 PPG at a 70.4% clip and 11.5 RPG. That same week, she was a U.S. Basketball Writers Association Ann Meyers Drysdale National Player of the Week and was listed as a player to keep an eye on by the AP.
