UTSA opens the spring 2025 season

PRAIRIE VIEW, Texas — UTSA Women’s Tennis heads to Prairie View, Texas, to take on the Prairie View A&M Panthers in a doubleheader, with the first match starting at 10 a.m. and the second at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 15 to open up the spring 2025 season. 

The Roadrunners are coming off a 17-7 season in 2024 their highest win total in recent history. The 17 wins are the most under head coach Ki Kroll in his sixth season leading the Roadrunners. UTSA welcomes back Vittoria Baccino, Ekua Youri and Milica Milosavljevic.

Junior Arina Babenko, a transfer from Cowley College, freshman Natalia Castaneda Guerrero, freshman Aoka Nagasawa, Angelo State transfer Letizia Corsini and freshman Valeria Sanchez are joining the Roadrunners this season.

UTSA and PVAMU have had 10 matches against each other with the Roadrunners winning all ten contests. The last matchup between these two teams was last year when they faced off in a doubleheader on March 23 with the Roadrunners winning 5-2 and 4-0.

The Roadrunners will head west to take on NM State on Saturday, January 18, and UTEP on January 19.
