The Roadrunners ended the regular season with a 16-6 record. A 7-0 home sweep over Lamar on April 10 ensured UTSA concluded the regular season on a six-match winning streak and a 9-0 undefeated record at home (its first undefeated home record since 1992). UTSA has totaled a 63-55 (.534) mark in singles and a 32-25 (.561) record in doubles as a team for the 2024 season.

Four Roadrunners have picked up double-digit wins in singles action, led by freshman Ekua Youri who has 13 wins, mostly at the fifth court. The other three who have dominated in singles play include Aleksandra Zlatarova (12-7), Fatima Gutierrez (11-5) and Vittoria Baccino (10-7). Zlatarova and Cassie McLay have teamed up to put together an impressive 13-1 doubles record.

Tulane ended the regular season with an 11-8 overall record, following a 4-1 loss to Memphis on April 12. The Green Wave holds a 48-49 (.495) singles record and a 32-16 (.667) doubles record. No. 1 player Lahari Yelamanchili leads the team with a 9-6 singles record. She holds an 11-5 record with Kristen Borland at the No. 1 doubles court as well. The Roadrunners and Green Wave have faced each other twice as Tulane won both of those matchups by 4-3 in the 2017 season and by 6-1 in the 2018 season.

The winner of this matchup will advance to the quarterfinal round where they will face the No. 1 seed SMU on Friday at 9 a.m.
