IRVING, Texas – For the second time this season, redshirt senior Jordyn Jenkins was named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday.
Jenkins had another stellar week, first recording 14 points with nine rebounds in a win over UNC Greensboro, ahead of an 18-point performance against Towson. In total, she averaged 16.0 PPG at a 52.2% clip with three blocks, three steals and 11 boards at the Puerto Rico Clasico.
She has now earned eight Player of the Week awards (4x CUSA, 1x Pac-12, 3x AAC) across her collegiate tenure, last receiving recognition on Nov. 18, when she was also chosen as a USBWA National Player of the Week, and to the NCAA Starting Five.
