Quartet of ‘Runners named CSC Academic All-District

Caroline Krueger and Mia Soerensen represent second-time selections, while Peyton Turner and Faye Wilbricht are first-time picks

GREENWOOD, Ind.–The Collegiate Sports Communicators announced its 2024 Volleyball Academic All-District awards on Tuesday, with juniors Mia Soerensen and Caroline Krueger receiving recognition for the second straight year, while senior Faye Wilbricht and sophomore Peyton Turner are first-time picks.    

Soerensen makes the cut after claiming Second Team American Athletic Conference honors in back-to-back seasons. She posted a squad-high 299 kills at a .242 clip and boasted a team-high 109 blocks while recording a 3.96 GPA in premedical neuroscience. Meanwhile, Krueger owns a 3.54 GPA in kinesiology and, along with Soerensen, joins DeeDee Strickland as Roadrunners to earn multiple selections.

Rounding out the quartet, Wilbricht wrapped up her collegiate career with a 3.53 GPA in interdisciplinary studies, and Turner turned in a perfect 4.0 GPA in neuroscience. This marks the first occasion in program history that four received the accolade in the same season.
